To celebrate Correct Craft’s 100-year anniversary, I was challenged to transform my custom coded timeline for Nautique into Correct Craft’s Wordpress environment.
Correct Craft is a family‑run American boat manufacturer with a rich history spanning over a century, based in Orlando, Florida.
When Correct Craft requested a version of the Nautique 100-Year History site, I was tasked with translating a fully custom-coded scrolling experience into a WordPress environment. After analyzing analyzing the original GSAP animations and interactive timeline, I found equivalent WordPress plugins and techniques to replicate them. This project required creative problem-solving to balance WordPress limitations with the goal of delivering a seamless, engaging user experience similar to the original Nautique site.
How I was able to take my interactive Nautique timeline and translate it into a WordPress environment.
One of the biggest challenges I had to overcome on this project was figuring out a way to translate my custom GSAP and JavaScript animations (including typewriting effects, fading in photos and a clickable navigation) into a WordPress environment that not only is consistent with Correct Craft's current brand, but could also be easily maintained in the future. I took time to research, test, and configure various plug-ins and was able to successfully replicate my custom coded site into a no-code environment. I used Divi Supreme, various WordPress plug-ins, and custom CSS to make this experience seamless, smooth, and engaging.
